Scow schooners were flat-bottomed vessels that were used in San Francisco Bay in the 19th and early 20th centuries. They transported goods along the shallow waters. They played a crucial role during the Gold Rush.
This piece is in excellent condition for its age. It comes with the original glass, evidenced by the antique bubbles within it. It’s really difficult to take a photo that’ll do this beauty justice. A really unique heirloom of San Francisco history.
